Masonry Apprentice/ChimneyMason Tender Job Description
We are looking for individuals who are reliable and eager to learn a trade. A masonry apprentice will:
- Work with various masonry materials
- Mix mortar and concrete using mechanical and other mixing methods
- Assist a mason with the transfer of materials as needed in order to perform the necessary repair
- Assist with setting up ladders and scaffolding
- Maintain a clean job site and company vehicle
- Load and unload materials in and out of the company vehicle
- Use power tools and hand tools as needed to perform tasks such as cutting brick, grinding mortar joints
- Attend company training at designated times and strive to meet goals of advancement within the company
Requirements & Responsibilities
- Lifting, carrying materials up to 80 lbs.
- Mixing mortar and concrete
- Maintain an organized / clean truck and job site
- Cutting and grinding of masonry materials
- Drive work vehicles up to 16’ box trucks
- Set up ladders and scaffolding
- Attend company training opportunities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Ok with heights
- Ok with heavy lifting
- Ready to learn a trade and begin a career
